What Is Cosmetic Bonding?

Next, etching will be slightly done on the surface of your tooth to roughen it, so that the bond will more easily take hold. After clearing away residual debris from the etching, dental conditioner is placed on your tooth to ensure adhesion of the bonding material further.

When ready, our dentist will apply the tooth-coloured resin, molding and smoothing it until it is in the correct shape. Ultraviolet light is then used to make the resin hard.

More molding and shaping may be done as necessary. The whole procedure typically takes one hour for each tooth that is cosmetically bonded.
